How To Repair Damaged Hair

Everyone loves shiny, voluminous, and curly hairs. Healthy and shining locks make you look gorgeous and give you confidence. Whether you attend a birthday party, wedding, seminar, or regular life, stunning hair is essential to appear your best.

There are multiple reasons for damaged hair; it doesn’t happen overnight. Damaged hairs develop cracks in the outermost layer that is called the cuticle. Once the cuticle opens, your hair is in huge trouble and further breakage. Damaged and dry hair appears dull or frizzy and not easy to manage. So how can you improve your dry, injured, and fragile hair to shiny and smooth locks?

Mostly damaged hair is permanent and beyond repair; since hair is a collection of dead cells, they need utmost care required to revive back. Proper hair care and some medical treatments can restore the outer cuticle and enhance the hair’s appearance and feel.

Keep The Temperature Of Your Tools On Medium, Not High

The hair beautifying tools such as flat iron, blow dryer, and curling iron are the magic rods that transform the unruly and ordinary hair into luscious waves and curls. The main problem with using all these hair gadgets is that they damage your hair beyond repair if you have not been careful enough.

One such mistake people make is adjusting the temperature unduly high when styling hair using heat. You can style hair with a mid-range setting of temperature whenever feasible. There are specific air-dry formulas that enable you to form and hold the hair without heat.

Many strongly suggest using a heat protection product to shield your hair from thermal damage while utilizing heat for hairstyling.

Wet Hair Needs Gentle Care

Wet hairs are pretty susceptible to any damage. Chances of further damage are high if your wet hair is fragile or curly. You should take the utmost care in handling wet hair. Keep a few things in mind, such as don’t try to pull a brush through the wet hair unless it’s a brush particularly created for the task. Wide-tooth combs or brushes are for detangling hair. Avoid rubbing hair vigorously as you come out of the shower. You should gently smudge your hair with a smooth towel or use a microfiber cloth to avoid friction, putting stress on fragile hair. One more important tip is not to put your hair up with an elastic band when it is wet because that is when damage occurs.

Apply Healing And Rich Hair Masks

Special hair masks are available in the market for repairing and moisturization. Hair masks have high concentrations of reparative and moisturizing ingredients, such as vitamins, oils, and natural substances.

These hair masks are thicker than ordinary conditioners, so as you smear them to damp hair, they stick to the strands and make them dense. That’s how they get time to penetrate deeper into the hair covering and develop on the damaged hair surface. The masks keep functioning effectively even after getting rinsed. You have to choose a mask that suits your hair texture.
